Who's Moving Where In Wealth Management? - Merrill Lynch, Bernstein, BNY Mellon WM, Others

Merrill Lynch
Danielle Papandrea has joined Merrill Lynch Wealth Management as the teaming and practice management consulting group executive. She reports to Craig Young, national business development executive.

In her role, Papandrea will oversee a nationwide network of practice management consultants supporting advisors and their teams. Additionally, she will oversee the firm’s “Elite Growth Practice” strategy, tools and resources designed to help advisor teams deliver best-in-class client experiences and drive growth.  

Papandrea has worked in the financial services industry for more than 25 years. Prior to this new role, she worked at BlackRock. She worked for more than 15 years at Merrill and Bank of America.

Bernstein Private Wealth Management
Bernstein Private Wealth Management has appointed its chief operating officer, Kate Burke, to the additional post of head of private wealth.

Joining Burke in leading the PWM business is a four-person executive leadership team:

-- Rick Meyers leads distribution strategy, including oversight of the advisor force, client service, recruiting, and operations as head of advisors and client service; 

-- Aaron Bates, head of wealth platforms and partnerships, continues to lead wealth strategies and will add diverse market strategies and marketing, building out its digital engagement capabilities and strategic partnerships, which will focus on product and platform offerings from third parties; and 

-- Co-heads of investment strategies, Beata Kirr and Alex Chaloff - will continue to lead the investment strategy team, overseeing manager selection and asset allocation, driving investment-related content, and partnering with our firm’s largest and most complex client relationships.
 


BNY Mellon Wealth Management
BNY Mellon Wealth Management has appointed Daniel Gebhart as regional director, head of portfolio management in New England. 

Gebhart oversees the investment management, wealth planning and advice services for individuals, entrepreneurs, and endowments and foundations for the region, as well as providing direct leadership for the wealth managers.

He also serves as chairman of the region’s account review committee. He is based in Boston and reports to Vicary Graham, president of the New England region, the firm said in a statement. 

Gebhart has worked at BNY Mellon Wealth Management from the firm’s Pittsburgh office in a variety of roles since 2000. Prior to joining BNY Mellon Wealth Management, he worked at PNC and Morgan Stanley. He earned a bachelor of arts in economics from Denison University.

Lakemore Partners
Lakemore Partners, the private credit investment firm, has named Dan Norman managing director and head of its US business operations. 

Norman will focus on growing Lakemore’s investment platform globally from its recently established US office in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Norman retired last year from from Voya Investment Management where he most recently served as group head and senior managing director. While at Voya, he founded the firm’s senior loan group in 1995 and co-managed its global loan platform including its global collateralized loan obligation business. By the end of 2020 had managed 46 CLOs with a combined size of more than $22 billion.)
